Sermons

Our annual budget drive kick off was scheduled for the Sunday after the shooting of eight Asian women at massage parlors around Atlanta.

Thanksgiving 2015, during the Ferguson uprising. The sermon was preached with the Rev. David Glasgow singing.

Complete Services

Full worship service (minus some copyrighted material) from the Sunday after the January 6th attack. While this is not my most polished sermon, it is a good example of how we shift our worship according to the needs of the moment.

The full worship service at the First Parish of Groton, MA. The theme was: Where We Make Land. I had a wonderful time sharing my families journey across the country.

Online service from Christmas Eve 2020. We had originally planned an outdoor service but the weather interfered. You can see the ways that we adapted traditions for distance celebration.

Rites of Passage

I preached the sermon at the ordination of my intern, Cindy Terlazzo. The sermon begins at the 49 minute mark.

I offered the prayer at this memorial service. If you begin at 47:40 you can see the time for reflection and the prayer that I crafted from people’s remarks. The prayer begins at 1:02:45
